Fail Whale, Meet Claw Flaw
Alas, poor Fail Whale! I knew him, Claw Flaw; a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy; he hath borne Twitter tragedy on his back a thousand times; and now, how abhorred in my imagination it is!
Not sure when Claw Flaw here replaced the Fail Whale. I have to admit that the sudden presence of a nicely drawn whale in an ocean of blue was a surprising distraction from the fact that Twitter had hiccuped. Claw Flaw’s image is much smaller than the Fail Whale and somehow less reassuring. Maybe it’s because I don’t know him and his capabilities yet, or maybe his diminutive nature doesn’t seem to address what I perceive as the large size of the problem. In any case, Claw Flaw has some big fins to fill.
